What Semi Private Pilates actually is
Semi private sessions put two or three clients with one instructor, usually on Reformers or Towers. You keep most of the individual correction of a private session at roughly two thirds of the cost, which is why studios often steer post rehabilitation clients here once they no longer need one to one supervision.
- Two or three clients per instructor
- Individual programming within a shared session
- Cheaper than a private session
- Popular for pairs and friends
What Semi Private Pilates costs

Not enough studios have published a semi private pilates price for us to show a city range yet. A single studio's price is not a range, so we are not going to print one. $45-$85 per class is the national guide.

Semi Private Pilates questions
How many people are actually in a semi private class?
Two or three sharing one instructor, and it is worth asking which before you book. A duet at the top of the $45 to $85 band and a trio at the bottom of it are different products, and a studio that says semi private without a number usually means whichever turns up.
Is it worth the jump up from a group class?
If you are working around an injury, chasing a specific goal, or you keep losing the thread in a room of eight, yes. You are paying roughly double a group rate for something close to private attention. If you just want to keep moving twice a week, the group class is the better buy.
Can I book one with a friend?
Usually, and most studios would rather you did. Booking as a pair means the two of you set the level. Booking alone means the studio pairs you with whoever else has that slot, which can put you in with someone six months ahead of you.
