Direct Bookings

Let people reserve a spot on your listing instead of sending them somewhere else. No commission.

Self serve, no cardYoga and Pilates studios only

Switch a class to direct booking and the Book button on your profile stops being a link to somebody else's website. It holds a real seat, shows how many are left, emails the customer their confirmation and emails you their name, phone and address. You keep your own booking platform for everyone who already knows you. This is for the person who found you here, ten minutes ago, and has not decided yet.

You lose them at the handoff

Somebody reads your profile at half nine at night, likes the room, likes the price, and taps Book. What they get is a login wall from a company they have never heard of, asking them to create an account before it will show them a class. Most people close the tab there. You never see it happen, because from your side nothing happened at all. That gap between deciding and booking is where the traffic you already earned goes to die.

Outcomes

What you get

A seat held, not a link handed over

The Book button reserves a real place in a real class on a real date, and the number beside it counts down as people take them. Nobody has to make an account first.

Their name, not a click you counted

Every booking arrives in your inbox with the customer's name, email and phone. They are your client from that moment, on your list, with no platform sitting between you.

No commission, on anything

Not on the first booking, not on the tenth, not on anyone who comes back. We take no fee from the customer either, so the price on your listing is the price they pay you.

A roster you can work from

Who is coming, how many spots are left, who came and who did not. Mark attendance, release a seat, or call off a single date and everyone booked is emailed automatically.

Deliverables

What is included

  • A Book button on each class you switch on, showing the spots actually left
  • A booking page for that class with your cancellation policy on it

  • A roster with attendance, and one click to release a seat
  • Cancel one date and everybody booked for it is emailed with your reason
  • Your own booking window, cancellation window, late cancellation and no show terms
  • Per class control, so a class you would rather keep on your own platform stays there

Process

How it works

Studio manager matches available mat spaces to the booking capacity
Keeping class capacity accurate
  1. Claim and verify your listing

Direct booking is only offered to verified studios, because a seat somebody reserves has to be a seat that genuinely exists. Claiming is free and verification is a person here checking your business details.

  2. Put a real number of spots on the class

Open the class in your schedule and enter how many people fit. Eight reformers means eight. This is the number the booking page counts down from, so a guess here is a guess somebody turns up expecting you to honour.

  3. Switch that one class to direct booking

In the schedule editor, set how people book this class to take bookings here. Do one class first, ideally a quiet one. Everything else on your timetable keeps pointing at your own system exactly as it did.

  4. Work the roster

Bookings land in your inbox and on your bookings page. Set your cancellation window once and it is shown to every customer before they confirm, and frozen onto their booking so tightening it later never changes what somebody already agreed to.

Pricing

What it costs

Free while in beta

No card required

No card, no contract, and no cut of anything you take. Switch on one class or twenty, and switch any of them back to your own booking link whenever you want, with nothing to uninstall. If we ever introduce a fee it will be for new customers we bring you, it will never be a percentage of a booking, and you will hear about it before it happens rather than in an invoice.

Honest fit

Is this right for your studio

Worth it if

  • Studios whose booking platform asks a first timer to create an account before it shows a price
  • Off peak classes that run with empty spots you would rather have filled
  • Small studios running the schedule on a phone, a notebook and a DM inbox
  • Anyone tired of paying a marketplace a commission on clients they found themselves
  • Studios who want the intro offer booked while somebody is still reading the profile

When we would tell you not to

If your classes already sell out and your own checkout converts well, this will not earn you the ten minutes it takes to set up. It is also not a replacement for your studio software, and we would rather say so than sell you something it is not: it takes no payment, sells no memberships or class packs, and has no waitlist. Keep your platform for the people who already know you. If you run one class on both systems at once, do not: two systems selling the same room will oversell it, which is exactly why this is a per class switch rather than a per studio one.

Get started

Switch on your first class

Direct booking lives in your schedule editor. Open a class, put the real number of spots in the room on it, and set how people book this class to take bookings here. Go to my schedule, or sign in if you are not signed in yet.

Not claimed your listing yet? Start there instead, because direct booking is only offered to verified studios. Claiming is free and takes an evening.

Questions

Direct Bookings questions

No, and we would not advise it. Your platform runs your memberships, your class packs, your payroll and your regulars, and none of that is what this does. Direct booking covers one narrow job: turning somebody who just found you on this site into somebody standing in your studio. Most studios who use it switch on two or three classes and leave the rest alone.

Nothing. There is no commission, no per booking fee and no card on file with us. The customer pays you at the studio, at whatever you charge, and we are not part of that transaction at any point.

They do not pay through us. The booking page tells them the class price and that it is paid at the studio, then holds the seat. You take the money the way you already do, in person or through your own system when they arrive. This is deliberate: we hold a place, we do not process payments.

Booking is set per class, and only one system owns the seats for a given class. When you switch a class to direct booking, this becomes the only place those spots are sold, and our schedule importer is blocked from touching that class so your platform's copy of it cannot overwrite the real count. If you want a class sold on both, do not switch it on. Two systems counting the same room will oversell it.

Cancel that date from your bookings page, add a line saying why, and everybody holding a seat is emailed with your reason and their place released. The class itself stays on your timetable for every other week. You can also release one person's seat without cancelling the class.

You set your own cancellation window, and it is shown to the customer before they confirm and recorded on their booking. Cancelling inside that window is marked as a late cancellation on your roster, and a no show is one click. You can record a late cancellation fee and a no show fee, but nothing is charged through this site, so collecting one is between you and your client exactly as it is now.

That is the way to do it. Switch on a single quiet class, see what a week of it looks like, and set it back to your own booking link if it is not for you. Anyone already booked keeps their confirmation and you keep their details.
