What Aerial Yoga actually is
Aerial Yoga suspends part or all of your body weight in a fabric hammock, which allows inversions with the spine unloaded. Class size is capped by the number of rigs in the room, so aerial classes book out faster and cost more than mat classes.

Will I be upside down?
In most classes, yes, and it is the part people book for. The hammock supports you the whole time and a beginner class builds up to it rather than opening with it.
Why does aerial cost more than a mat class?
Rig count. A studio with twelve hanging points can sell twelve spots and no more, which puts the price at $25 to $45 for the same reason a Reformer class costs what it does.
Is there a weight limit?
Rigs carry a rated load, so studios publish a limit. Ask before booking. It is a routine question and reception will have the number to hand.
