Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsIs a first drop-in at Empower Hot Yoga cheaper than the regular rate?
New clients pay $18 for a first drop-in, though buying it forfeits the Welcome Month. The regular $28 rate includes mat, mat towel and shower towel rental.
When does the Welcome Month start counting?
It starts on the day of your first class and lasts 30 consecutive days. Buying any pass first cancels eligibility. Call (530) 733-3337 for its price.
Why do Empower Hot Yoga memberships range from $70 to $120 a month?
Memberships start from $70 a month, though no named tier at that price is published. The 4 classes per month tier costs $77, the monthly membership is $100 and unlimited monthly is $120. Unlimited drops to $118 a month on the annual plan, but that is $1,416 paid in full, so commit only if you will practise here all year. A 10 class pack at $200 suits irregular visitors.
How hot do the rooms get in the Chico studio?
Anywhere from 80°F to 108°F. The schedule mixes non-heated, warm and hot classes, so Non-Heated Vinyasa and Yin Restore sit alongside Empowered Hot and Hot Yin.
What happens if I turn up late to a class in Chico?
You miss it, because Empower Hot Yoga locks the doors once class starts. First-timers should arrive 15 minutes early for the waiver, regulars 10 minutes.
Which parking spots can Empower Hot Yoga students use on Elisha Court?
Assigned spots shared with Dr. Mark Truhe's Dental office, which keeps 8am to 5pm weekday hours. Overflow goes on the street or next door at Methodius Orthodox Church, and parking stays open after hours.
What goes in the bag for a hot class at Empower?
Pack a mat, a towel to cover it, a shower towel and a water bottle. Rentals cost a nominal fee, and the Chico changing rooms stock shampoo and conditioner.
Which weekday has the earliest start at Empower Hot Yoga?
Wednesday, at 5:30am. Friday follows at 5:40am, while Sunday offers only an evening block ending 7pm.
