View all FAQsHow do I book a class at Power of Your Om?
You book through Momence at https://momence.com/m/808011. The studio also lists booking on ClassPass and WellnessLiving, so if you have a membership on one of those, you can book there too.
Is the $49 intro offer for locals only, or can visitors use it too?
The $49 two week unlimited intro is for Santa Barbara locals. Visitors get a different deal: a one week pass for $99 that includes complimentary mat and towel rentals.
What does a membership actually cost?
It depends on the term. A 12 month unlimited is $139 a month, a 3 month unlimited is $159, and a flexible month to month unlimited is $179 with no commitment. If you want fewer classes, the 8x per month plan is $119 on a 12 month term or $139 on a 3 month term. There is also a discounted student membership, but that one is not sold online.
Is the hot yoga here actually different from regular hot yoga?
Yes. The studio uses infrared heat panels that warm your body directly, like sunlight, instead of heating the air in the room. Classes run at 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and the infrared heat penetrates muscle tissue, which the studio says supports flexibility, recovery, and circulation better than conventional hot yoga.
What kinds of classes do they actually offer?
Infrared heated vinyasa in two intensities, DEEP and SURGE, plus yin yoga called DRIFT, a yin and flow blend called TIDE, Hot Yoga x HIIT, Hot Yoga x Sculpt with weights, and Hot Pilates. There are also Sound and Meditation Experiences. All heated classes use infrared panels at 90 to 95 degrees.
Is this a Baptiste studio?
Yes, it is the only Baptiste Power Yoga affiliate studio in Southern California. Founder Adrienne Smith is Baptiste certified, and all teachers train in the Baptiste lineage.
Where exactly is the studio and how do I park?
It is at 1221 State Street, Suite 201, on the second floor of Victoria Court, above Arrigato Sushi. Free parking is available in the lot at Chapala and Victoria for the first 75 minutes, then $3 per hour. Street parking is often available on Chapala, Victoria, Sola, or State. Lot 5 behind the studio costs $1.50, and the Lawn Bowling Lot at Chapala and Victoria is free after 5 pm on weekdays.
What should I bring to class?
Bring your own yoga mat, water, and a towel. The studio does have mat rental if you need it, and they provide light hand weights, resistance bands, blocks, and Pilates balls for some classes. For meditation sessions, bring any props you want like blocks, straps, or eye masks.
