About NM Studio (UES)
NM Studio (UES) is a pilates studio on Manhattan's Upper East Side, teaching reformer pilates in private and group contemporary formats. Beginner reformer classes help you get familiar with the equipment, and prenatal reformer is available. The studio offers fully equipped space for independent instructors to rent, plus lockers and grip socks for sale. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to private and duet sessions. The studio is expanding to the Upper West Side.

Never the same window twice, and never for long. Monday is an evening finishing at 7:30pm, Tuesday finishes at 6:30pm, Wednesday runs to 8:30pm, Thursday is closed entirely, Friday is a morning ending at 10:30am, Saturday is 8:30am to 12:30pm and Sunday is an afternoon ending at 4:30pm. Roughly three hours a day, in a different slot every day. Check before you plan anything.
What does the unlimited membership cost?
Two figures are published. One record says $450 a month and the studio's own page says $500 for UES unlimited with a minimum 6 month commitment. Both are steep, and the commitment is the part to confirm.
Can I use both locations?
For $550 a month you get UES and UWS together, again on a 6 month minimum.
How much is one class?
$52 a class, dropping to $250 for a 5 pack and $480 for 10. The Intro Package at $150 is new clients only.
What apparatus is in the room?
A full classical set: Cadillac, Reformer, Tower, WUNDA Chair, Ladder Barrel, small arm chair and Spine Corrector, plus a Jump Board. The prop drawer runs to Orbit, OOV, foam rollers and rotator disks.
Are classes graded by level?
Yes. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Reformer run separately, along with Prenatal Reformer and a Jumpboard class.
Can I pay cash?
No. The studio is cashless and every class has to be bought online before you arrive.
How much time should I leave?
Ten to fifteen minutes if you are new to the studio or to Pilates, five if you already train here.
