View all FAQsDo I have to start with a private?
Yes. Private lessons are the starting point for every new client, in both the Gyrotonic Method and STOTT Pilates.
How much is a private lesson?
$85 for one, $375 for 5 which is $75 each, and $700 for 10 at $70 each. The 10 pack is reserved for clients training at least twice a week.
What does a duet or trio cost?
A duet is $55 per person, $250 for 5 and $450 for 10. A trio is $50 each, $225 for 5 and $400 for 10.
Can I join a trio straight away?
No. The studio asks for a minimum of 5 private lessons before you join a Trio, so the group format comes after the groundwork.
What Gyrotonic equipment is there?
All five apparatuses: the Pulley Tower, the Archway, the Jump-Stretching Board, the Leg Extension Unit and the GYROTONER.
Can I train online?
Yes, private lessons run on Zoom at the same rates as in the studio. Everything is by appointment, in person or not.
How far ahead should I book?
Two or three weeks, especially for prime-time hours. The studio is often booked out that far, so do not expect to walk in.
What is the difference between Gyrotonic and the Pilates here?
Different equipment and a different tradition. Gyrotonic runs on five dedicated apparatuses, while the Pilates is STOTT and may use the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. Laura and Steve are licensed therapists, and the studio also integrates CranioSacral Therapy and manual therapies. Packages expire 3 months from purchase. Hours run 9am to 6:45pm Monday through Thursday, 5pm Friday, and 12pm on Saturday, with Sunday closed.
