Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsIs Studio Alma mat only, or is there a reformer?
Mat. The classes are 45-minute mat Pilates, classical work with contemporary sequencing. A reformer sits in the equipment tags, so ask first if you want machine work.
What is the focus on a Wednesday at Studio Alma?
Wednesday is core. Tuesday is upper body, Thursday is lower body, and Monday, Friday and Saturday are full body, so the week is planned rather than repeated.
Which Studio Alma package is cheapest per class?
The 10-class package at $150.00 works out to $15/class, the lowest per class rate on offer, but it expires 60 days after the first class is used. The 5-class package is $85.00 at $17/class and the 3-class package is $55.00 at $18.33/class, both expiring 30 days after first use. Grip socks are required whichever one you buy, and the first class is free for new clients.
Does the $205 unlimited membership lock me in?
Unlimited is $205.00 a month, but it is not month to month. There is a 3-month minimum and it auto-renews every 3 months, so treat it as a quarterly commitment.
What do late cancellations and no-shows cost at Studio Alma?
Cancel at least 12 hours out or it costs $15, and a no-show is $20. Entry is also refused more than 5 minutes after a class starts.
Which spaces near the Figueroa Street studio are safe to park in?
Plaza spaces in front of and behind the studio are fine, as is any space up to Reprox Media. Private lots at Kirkwood Christian School and PWS Laundry Parts tow.
Is 4.7 a lot of reviews for Studio Alma?
4.7 looks strong, but 14 reviews is a small sample for Studio Alma.
Is Sunday an option at Studio Alma?
No. Sunday is closed, and the rest of the week runs 5am to 8pm at the Figueroa Street address. Arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of class.
