View all FAQsAre classes organised by level or by goal?
By goal. Apparatus: Focus is deliberate and controlled, Apparatus: Challenge is moderately hard and needs approval from Evolve management, and Apparatus: Advanced sits above both.
How big does a class get?
Eight participants at most. That cap is what makes the goal based grouping work, because an instructor can actually watch everyone in the room.
Should I wear socks?
Pilates here is usually done in bare feet. Socks are optional, and if you wear them they should be non slip. Grip socks are recommended for reformer and sold at the studio.
What equipment does Evolve have?
Reformer, jump board, spring tower and chair, plus props: balls, foam rolls, rings and bands. It is a fully equipped studio rather than a mat room.
What else runs besides Pilates?
Garuda, Body Rolling and Barre Fitness on the class list, with GYROTONIC and Structural Integration alongside. Evolve mixes Pilates with techniques from elsewhere rather than sticking to one method.
Where in Celebration Pointe is the studio?
Second floor of the 5001 building, suite 170, overlooking Celebration Pointe. Booking goes through the studio site or Mindbody.
What hours does Evolve keep?
8:30am to 7pm Monday through Friday. Saturday is 9am to 2pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm, so the weekend is shorter but not closed.
Is Evolve a good place to start from scratch?
Yes, with a caveat about how you book. The studio recommends the 4-session package for every new client, which is the sensible route, because classes are grouped by goal rather than level and somebody has to watch you move first. Apparatus: Focus is the entry point, deliberate and controlled, and it suits experienced clients who want a slower pace too. Evolve was already 13 years old in 2019 and holds a MindBody Visionary Award.
