Yes. Their beginner pilates is described on the site, and the free Intro to Pilates session on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM or Thursdays at 4:30 PM is a 30 minute way to start. If you want a full class, Pilates Plus 1.0 is the essential level and uses mat, props, and an introduction to the reformer, tower, and chair.
How do I book a class?
Booking runs on Mindbody, and you do it at http://coachmanpilates.com/book. That is the only way to book, their site does not mention walk ins.
What equipment will I actually use in a group class?
Group classes are limited to 5 to 6 clients, and the studio has five reformers. The equipment list is long: Tower Reformers, Cadillac, Chairs, Arc Barrels, Bosus, weights, ballet barre, stability balls, Pilates rings, jumpboards, trampolines, ladder barrel, spine corrector, and more. But a specific class like Pilates Plus 1.0 uses mat, props, and an introduction to reformer, tower, and stability chair.
Are the instructors actually certified?
Yes, all classes and sessions are led by comprehensively trained STOTT PILATES Certified Instructors, and the site says the same.
Can I bring my jewelry to class?
Necklaces are not permitted on reformers, and long hair must be tied back. So leave the necklace at home or in your bag.
Is there a free way to try the studio before paying?
Yes, they offer a free new client Intro to Pilates, a 30 minute session on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM and Thursdays at 4:30 PM. That is the cheapest way to see if you like it.
How long are the classes?
Express Pilates Classes run 35 minutes, Pilates Plus Classes run 50 minutes, and private and semi private sessions run 55 minutes. So it depends on which one you book.
