Frequently Asked Questions

View all FAQs
How cheap is this for Houston?

Considerably. A drop in is $29, a five pack $99, a ten pack $199 and a twenty pack $400, which sits well below the going rate for reformer classes across the city. The Citizen Starter Pack is three classes for $59.

How many classes run a week?

Over 150 across the three Houston studios: Heights Boulevard, Garden Oaks and Spring Branch. That is one of the deepest reformer timetables in the country.

What are the reformers like?

Custom built in California from maple wood and rated to support clients up to 350 pounds. That weight rating is published for a reason: standard commercial reformers often are not, and it is the kind of detail that decides whether a studio is genuinely for every body.

What are the private rates?

$88 per person for a 45 minute one to one, sold in packs of three or ten. A duet is $77.50 each and a trio $75 each, so bringing company barely lowers the price here.

How long is a group class?

Forty five minutes, which is why the studio can run a reformer power lunch session for people who cannot spare an hour.

Is the rating consistent?

Two figures circulate, 4.9 from 263 reviews and 5.0 from 233. Either way it is a large sample and a strong average.

When did it open?

2015, founded by Jess Hughes, and it has grown to three locations since.

What is the dress code?

Form fitting workout clothes and sticky socks, which are required for safety and cleanliness. There is a parking lot at the Heights studio.
