How Z Core Pilates Compares

Compare with any studio in Ithaca

Nobody in Ithaca publishes enough pricing for us to cost a routine yet, Z Core Pilates included. These are the studios you would realistically pick between, and the comparison covers what each one teaches, what equipment it has, when it opens and how recently we checked it.

Costs are the cheapest published way each studio will sell you that many classes, packs and memberships included, and each one carries the date it was checked on the comparison itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

View all FAQs
Is Z Core Pilates classical or contemporary?

Classical. Z Core teaches the method Joseph Pilates originally called Contrology, in small groups and one to one, following a set sequence built on purpose and progression.

What does one class cost at Z Core Pilates in Ithaca?

$35 for a single Equipment Class, $20 for a Mat Class. Mat is the cheaper way in.

Do the class packages at Z Core Pilates expire?

Yes, and each has its own deadline. Equipment packages run 5 classes for $160 inside 2 months, 10 classes for $300 inside 4 months, and 20 classes for $550 inside 6 months, all cheaper per class than the $35 single rate. Coming once a week uses up any of the three in time. If your attendance is patchy, skip the 20 pack, since it asks for the steadiest pace before it lapses.

Where should a newcomer to Z Core Pilates start?

Z Core points new clients to a Foundations Class or a Mat Class, or an Intro Series when one is scheduled. A New Client Intro Pack also exists and expires in 1 month, but its price is not published.

Will a Z Core class run if only one person books it?

No. Z Core needs a two-person minimum before a class runs, and places are pre-registered through the GloFox app, not taken at the door. Booking with a friend keeps a quiet slot alive.

How do Tower and Reformer classes differ at Z Core?

Tower classes mix mat work with arm and leg springs plus rollback and push-through bars. Reformer classes use a moving apparatus on springs, worked for length, strength and balance.

Can I phone Z Core Pilates before booking?

Not easily. Where a phone number would normally go, the site reads By Appointment Only, so use the GloFox app or message zcorepilates on Instagram or Facebook instead.

What should I wear for equipment classes at Z Core?

Fitted, comfortable clothing with no zippers, and grippy socks. Zips and loose layers do not sit well on the customized Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs and Barrels in the Ithaca studio.
