Vital Pilates

Two addresses circulate: 4021 Calloway Dr Ste 700 in Bakersfield, and a reference to The Orpheum Theater on 2nd Street. Calloway Drive is the current one, so check the Glofox booking page first.

5 heated classes for $15, and the catch is the window, because they expire within 7 days. Worth it only if you can get in most days of a single week.

It turns on how often you show up. Unlimited is $175/month, 12 Classes is $160/month, 8 Classes is $150/month, and Student Unlimited is $130/month if you qualify. A drop-in costs $23, so the 8 Classes plan starts paying once you go roughly weekly. Read the terms first though, because every membership carries a 3 month minimum commitment and needs 30 days written notice to leave.

A yoga mat and water. Mat and towel rental is $6 if you travel light. Grip socks or bare feet in the hot room, and no shoes.

Cancel at least 12 hours ahead and you pay nothing. Inside that window the late cancel fee is $10, and simply not appearing costs $20.

Arrive more than 5 minutes late at Vital Pilates and you are not let in.

Yes. Full Body Pilates, Sculpt Pilates, Barre and Hot Yoga all run in the heat, with no cool room option. Apparatus includes reformers, towers, chairs, ladder barrels and spine correctors.

It reads that way on paper. Beginners and plus-size clients are named as welcome, instructors get praised for watching form, and Bakersfield has few heated options like it. Set your expectations on room size though, because group classes are capped at 28 people, which is a crowd next to a small reformer room. The 4.5 from 8 reviews is too small a sample to settle the question either way.
