View all FAQsIs Pivot Pilates in Riverside or elsewhere in Jacksonville?
Riverside. The address is 1258 McDuff Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32205, and the phone is (904) 535-0456.
Should you start with the new client special at Pivot Pilates?
Two 55-minute private sessions for $125, when a single one is $109. The second is close to free, which makes it the sensible way in if you have never used a Reformer.
What changes between the 55 minutes and 85 minutes bookings?
Length and price. A private runs $109 for 55 minutes or $165 for 85 minutes. A duet, meaning two people sharing the instructor, is $65 per person at 55 minutes and $99 per person at 85 minutes.
How small do apparatus classes stay at Pivot Pilates?
Four students in apparatus classes and six in Mat Pilates or Barre. A group Pilates class takes up to four people, runs 55 minutes and costs $45 per session.
Which BASI apparatus is on the floor at Pivot Pilates?
Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Chair, Barrel and Mat, all BASI Systems equipment designed by BASI founder Rael Isacowitz. Apparatus classes are the ones that use it.
Will loose sweats be a problem in a class here?
Yes, form-fitting clothes are advised so the instructor can see your alignment, and clothing with back zippers or loose fabric is discouraged. Bring a water bottle, a small towel and grip socks.
Does Pivot Pilates teach anything other than Pilates?
Yes. Adult dance classes for beginners and experienced dancers, a somatics practice and a healthy spine class all run alongside the Pilates. Clinical Pilates is described on the site as well, so if you are working around an injury, speak to your own clinician first and then call (904) 535-0456 to see what fits.
How late can you actually get into a class at Pivot Pilates?
The doors run 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday through Friday, but classes themselves are described as starting as early as 7:30am and finishing as late as 6:30pm, so the last stretch of the evening is not a class slot. Saturday is shorter, 8am to 2pm. Sunday is closed, which makes it a six days a week operation. For an evening class, aim well before 6:30pm rather than turning up near closing.
