Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsIs Perfect Posture Pilates one address or two?
Two locations in Astoria, both on 30th Avenue. Studio 1 is 23-08 30th Avenue on the 3rd floor, and Studio 2 Rooftop is 3116 30th Ave on the 4th floor with the entrance on 32nd St. Check which one your class is at before you set off, because they are not the same door.
What does a mat class cost in Astoria?
A single Mat Drop-In is $25.00. The packs are $63.00 for the Intro Mat 3-pack, $115.00 for the 5-pack and $220.00 for the 10-pack.
Do those mat rates cover reformer classes?
No. Only the mat rates are published, so Reformer, Tower and Springboard sessions have no price on record. Call (929) 296-9292 and ask.
Does the studio train teachers as well as teach classes?
Yes, a teacher training programme runs alongside the classes at Perfect Posture Pilates. Ask who is teaching if you would rather not be in a room led by a trainee.
Which days run latest here?
Monday to Thursday it is 7am to 9pm, Friday winds down at 5pm, Saturday sits between 8:30am and 3pm, and Sunday runs 9am to 7:30pm. Sunday evening is the surprise, since it stays open later than Friday does.
What is a Duet Reformer session?
It is a Reformer session for two people, using only the Reformer and props rather than the full apparatus range. That makes it the middle option between a private and a group class: you still get feedback on your own body, but you split the hour with someone you bring. No rate is published for it, so ring (929) 296-9292 and ask what a duet costs before you book a partner in.
Does booking go through Mindbody?
Yes. Perfect Posture Pilates runs its schedule on Mindbody rather than through its own site.
What is the 4.7 rating built on?
83 reviews at 4.7 is a solid sample for a neighborhood studio in Astoria. Reviewers return to the same point: classes are small and instructors adjust to the level.
