Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsWhat makes a LIGHTWRK class different from ordinary mat Pilates?
Heat and light do part of the work. LIGHTWRK runs a heated infrared room with red light, and the music sets the pace, so it stays low impact while the intensity climbs.
Is there a published price for LIGHTWRK classes?
No price is published for LIGHTWRK classes, so call (727) 353-0204. The only dollar figures anywhere are the fees, $15 late cancel and $25 no show.
What happens if I cancel late or miss a class?
You get a free cancel up to 10 hours before the class starts, and after that the studio charges $15. Skip it entirely without cancelling and the fee goes to $25. Arriving late carries its own risk, because LIGHTWRK can turn you away for safety and class flow and still apply the fee. Every class has to be booked ahead through Marianatek, so nothing here is walk in.
How early does the Central Avenue studio open?
6am is the earliest start, Monday through Friday, and the room closes at 8pm. Both weekend days shift later, 8am to 7pm.
Is parking easy at 3827 Central Ave?
Street parking runs along Central Ave, and there is a parking lot as well.
Can I rent a mat at LIGHTWRK?
Yes. Mat rental is available, though a mat is required for class and LIGHTWRK suggests a towel for the infrared heat.
How much weight should I put on the 5 star average?
Five stars off 14 reviews is a thin sample for St. Petersburg. Read the reviews rather than the average.
Does LIGHTWRK train teachers?
LIGHTWRK runs a teacher training programme, worth knowing if you want to teach rather than just sweat. Dates and cost are not posted, so call (727) 353-0204.
