In Balance does not publish a price we can cost a routine against yet. These are the studios nearby that do, so you can at least see the going rate before you call.

Costs are the cheapest published way each studio will sell you that many classes, packs and memberships included, and each one carries the date it was checked on the comparison itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

View all FAQs
Why do the class packs at In Balance expire on different dates?

Each pack runs longer as it gets bigger. The 5-pack is $200 with a 3-month expiration, the 10-pack is $360 with a 4-month expiration, and the 20-pack is $660 with a 6-month expiration. Per class the biggest pack is the cheapest, but only take it if you will genuinely get through it before the 6-month window closes, because all service sales are final and nothing is refunded.

Is $45 the cheapest way to try In Balance once?

Yes. A single drop-in group class is $45, and no smaller entry price is published. Packs cut the per-class rate, but memberships need a three-month commitment, so they are not a trial.

Which In Balance membership is worth the commitment?

The tiers are 4 classes at $135 a month, 8 classes at $255, 12 classes at $350 and 16 classes at $440. Unused classes do not carry over and joining locks you in for three months, so pick the tier you would still use in a bad month. Late cancels inside 12 hours are deducted too.

Does a private session cost more with Carrie Pagès?

Yes. A single private with Carrie Pagès is $150, against $90 to $110 with another instructor, and semi-private with her is $100 per person rather than $65 to $75. The 10-pack with Carrie Pagès is $1400, so the gap holds at every quantity.

Is In Balance a reformer studio or a mat studio?

Two answers circulate. One description of In Balance has mat only, while the studio describes itself as reformer based, running small group reformer classes that also bring in TRX and a BOSU ball. Phone (904) 372-7056 and ask what a given class on the schedule uses before you book.

Which unit on Penman Road is In Balance in?

1537 Penman Road in Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, written elsewhere as 1537 Penman Road D.

What should a beginner book first at In Balance?

Pilates Basics & Foundations, which runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is meant as a starting point. Everything else is open level, with instructors adjusting the work for whoever is in the room, so a general class will not strand you either.

Can I get to In Balance at the weekend?

No. Both Saturday and Sunday are closed here. Weekdays are identical, opening at 8am and shutting at 7pm, so a weekend session has to happen elsewhere in Jacksonville Beach.
