View all FAQsIs Flying Fitness a Pilates studio or an aerial studio?
Listed under pilates, but everything on the Amarillo schedule is aerial: bungee, silks, aerial yoga, aerial pole, lyra and pole fitness. Aerial yoga is the closest to a mat class.
Is $35 the price for every class or just Bungee?
$35.00 is quoted as the drop-in rate for a single Bungee class. Nothing else is published, so phone (806) 318-3938 before you assume silks or lyra matches it.
Which booking system does Flying Fitness actually use?
Two answers circulate. The studio's pages book through WellnessLiving, while another source points at Square for appointments. Start from the link on flyingfitnesstx.com so you land on whichever is live, and call (806) 318-3938 if the calendar looks empty.
What are the jewelry and nail rules before an aerial class?
No jewelry at all, which covers wedding rings, fit bits, watches and earrings, and a ring that will not come off has to be covered with tape instead. Fingernails and toenails should be clipped short and well kept, because a rough edge snags the hammock. Hair gets pulled back too. None of this is fussiness: silks and hammocks catch on anything that sticks out, and a snag mid class is how fabric gets damaged.
How early do you need to arrive for a Bungee class?
5-10 minutes early for Bungee, because getting strapped in takes time and the doors lock.
Can a four year old take a class here?
Yes. Mommy & Me covers Ages 4-5 on the aerial hammock, Pre-Juniors is Age 6, Juniors runs Ages 7-12, and Recreation takes Ages 13 and up including adults.
What happens when you walk in for a first class?
Check in at the front desk, shoes off by the door, belongings in the cubbies. The restroom is right next to them.
What should you wear for silks or Bungee?
Form-fitting and comfortable, nothing loose, because loose fabric tangles in the silks. Cover your underarms completely, and choose yoga-style pants without zippers for Aerial Silk and Bungee. A leotard is encouraged for some classes, never required.
