Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsWhat is EMS training?
Electro Muscular Stimulation. You wear a suit during low impact strength work and Pilates inspired movement, and the suit adds stimulation on top of it.
What does a session cost?
$120 for a single private in the studio, dropping to $110 a session on an 8-pack. A duet is $80 each, or $70 each on the pack.
Can they come to me?
Yes, concierge sessions run in home. $200 for a single private, $180 each on an 8-pack, and duets at $130 or $120 per person.
Is the first session $40 or $40 off?
Both figures appear. One says the first session costs $40, another says it is $40 off a first private for local residents. Confirm when you book.
Is parking easy nearby?
There is a free 75-minute city lot directly across the street. Behind the building off Canon Perdido a Scan and Pay lot costs $7 for 3 hours.
Do I need to bring anything?
For studio sessions the EMS baselayer set is provided. For a concierge session they bring the suit, baselayer, mat, weights and bands.
How should I prepare?
Drink plenty of water beforehand, and avoid strenuous exercise on the same day. The suit does quite enough on its own.
Where exactly is the studio, and what are the hours?
The Julia Building at 924 Anacapa St, Suite G6, directly across from the Lobero Theater. It opens 7am to 7pm every day of the week, which is unusually consistent for a private session studio. Booking runs through the website. The suits are Wiemspro, described by the studio as FDA cleared, and the sessions are low impact strength work rather than a Reformer class.
