Yes, and every instructor is comprehensively STOTT PILATES certified. The owner, Chrissy Curtis, holds full certification including matwork, reformer, Cadillac, chair, barrels and injuries and special populations. That last one is the qualification that matters if you are working around something.
What kit does the studio have?
Merrithew V2Max Plus reformers, mats, stability chairs, cardio tramps, barres, TRX and props. Merrithew is the company behind STOTT, so the kit matches the method.
The hours are published twice and they differ. Which are right?
Substantially. One record has weekdays opening at 5:30am and Sunday closed, the other has an 8am start and a Sunday morning. Confirm before planning an early class or a Sunday one.
How much is a monthly plan?
$140 a month at the entry tier and $195 for unlimited, which is modest for a fully certified STOTT studio.
How are the reformer classes graded?
Essential, mixed level, intermediate, and an intermediate to advanced class that requires instructor approval before you can book it.
What should I not wear?
Loose clothing, anything with zips or pockets, and shoes. A hair tie is essential if your hair is longer than chin length, since it will otherwise end up in the springs.
How do I pay?
Cash, cheque or any major credit card. The studio was established in 2018 in historic downtown DeLand.
Who is it suitable for?
The studio works with a wide range, from young adults through older clients, pre and postnatal, people in rehabilitation and competitive athletes. That breadth is what the special populations training is for.
