View all FAQsWhat is the studio near?
It sits in the Shoppes at South Hills on South Road, across from Orange Theory Fitness and European Wax, next door to Fleet Feet. Easier to find by those than by the street number.
Can I book an Evolution class straight away?
No. Level 2 Evolution requires Level 1.5 Progression behind you and an instructor's sign off. Foundations at Level 1 is where a first timer starts.
What about Saturday and Sunday?
Saturday 7:30am to 2:30pm and Sunday 7:30am to 1:30pm, which is a longer Saturday than most studios in this chain manage. Weekdays run 6am to 8pm, with Friday closing at 7pm.
Is there a way to skip monthly billing?
Yes, an annual prepaid membership. The alternatives are 4 pack, 8 pack and unlimited monthly, quoted nationally between $79 and $397, with drop ins from $25 to $35.
What is TRX doing in a Pilates class?
Suspension training, used as one more source of resistance alongside the reformer, and it shows up on the Poughkeepsie schedule as its own format. The straps let you load a movement using nothing but your own body angle, which is a different feeling from spring tension and worth trying once before you decide whether you like it.
How early should I turn up?
Fifteen minutes before your first class at South Road, which covers signing in, a short tour and the waiver.
What do I need to pack?
Grip socks, required and sold at the studio, plus a reusable bottle for the Flowater dispensers. A sweat towel if you want one. Form fitting clothing and long hair tied back.
