About Absolute Pilates
Lynda Capocefalo has taught here on her own since 2003, and she was a professional dancer before that. The method is classical, worked on the mat and on the apparatus, and she is the only instructor, so whoever you book with is who you get.
Mat class is the way in. It runs $18, caps at seven people and needs at least two to go ahead, and it is the only session you can walk into without an appointment. Registered students get first call on the spots.
Everything else is one to one or in a small group. A private is $65 in prime hours and $55 outside them, a duet is $40 each, and a trio or quattro is $35, though the studio asks for seven privates and two duets before it will put you in one. Classes run 55 minutes.
Bring cash or a check, because there is no card option. Cancel inside 24 hours and you are charged for the session, packages expire six months from purchase, and none of them are refundable or transferable.

View all FAQsCan I just turn up, or do I need to book?
Mat class takes walk-ins, though registered students get first call on the spots and the class needs at least two people to run. Private, duet, trio and quattro classes all need an appointment, so call 518 253-8381 first.
What does a class cost?
Mat class is $18, or $15 a class if you buy the ten class package. A private is $65 in prime hours and $55 outside them. A duet is $40 a person, and a trio or quattro is $35. Buying a package takes about $5 a class off each of those.
How does the studio take payment?
Cash or check only. There is no card option, so bring one or the other.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel less than 24 hours before an appointment and you are charged for it. That covers every format except mat class, which does not take an appointment in the first place.
Can I book a trio or quattro class straight away?
No. The studio asks for seven private classes and two duets first, so you arrive knowing the repertoire and the apparatus before joining a group of three or four.
Do the packages expire?
Yes, six months from the date you buy one. Packages are not refundable and not transferable between people.
How long is a class?
55 minutes, whichever format you book.
