  1. WYCK Yoga & Pilates

    Kingston

    5.0(4)

    • Classical Pilates
    • Contemporary Pilates
    • Hot Pilates
    • Hot Yoga

WYCK is inside a clubhouse, which is not what the name leads you to expect. The studio sits on the lower level of the Wiltwyck clubhouse in Kingston, down the hall between the women's locker room and the pro shop, and it is open to the public rather than to members. There is a restaurant on the property, The Table at Wiltwyck, if you want to make an afternoon of it. The split here is heat on the mat and none on the machine. Hot Yoga and the Pilates classes run in an infrared room, with Warm Pilates at 104 degrees blending classical precision with sculpting sequences set to music, and Hot Pilates-Sculpt working with props. Reformer classes are not heated and are pitched at all levels, including people who have never touched the machine. Mats and towels come with every class, so there is nothing to carry in. Socks are required for reformer work and the whole studio is shoe-free. Forget yours and the pro shop sells a pair. Two rules are worth knowing before you book. Cancel inside 12 hours and the class credit is gone, on packs and memberships alike. Arrive at least 5 minutes early, because a spot not checked in by the start time can be released to the waitlist, and late entry is not permitted once class has begun.

  2. The Yoga House (Kingston)

    Kingston

    5.0(26)

    • Contemporary Pilates
    • Hatha Yoga
    • Mat Pilates
    • Private Pilates

The Yoga House runs studios in Kingston, Highland and Poughkeepsie, and this is the Kingston one at 785 Broadway, on the roundabout between Uptown and Midtown next door to People's Place. You come in through the parking lot, which belongs to the studio and is free. A pass bought here is valid at the other locations too. The class names need translating. House Blend is the all-levels vinyasa and House Blend+ is the fast version, better suited to people who have practiced before. Home Base is the gentle Hatha for beginners and is prenatal friendly. The Melt is the yin and restorative slot, and essential oils sometimes come out in it. Pilates is contemporary mat work with fascial stretches and joint mobilization, Pilates+ pairs that with yoga poses at a quicker pace, and Strength Lab is the free weights class. There is a dedicated pre and postnatal class as well. Mats and props are complimentary. Kingston has no showers, which the studio states plainly on its own FAQ, and Poughkeepsie is the location that does. The newcomer offer is 21 days of unlimited classes for $69, or $109 with a 30 minute private session added, and that private can be Pilates, reflexology, reiki or Thai massage rather than yoga. Booking is through Walla or the studio's app.

How these listings are checked

  • Verified studios

We confirm the studio exists and is trading before it is published.

  • Dated prices

Every price is recorded with the date a person last checked it.

  • Schedule checks

Class times are re-confirmed rather than scraped once and left.

  • Intro offer checks

Offers are verified so an expired deal never sits on a listing.
