Frequently Asked Questions

View all FAQs
Is The Pilates Effect still at Brownstone Village on West Abram?

Not for now. After a fire, the studio moved out temporarily, and as of August 2026 the classes are running from 333 S. Bowen Rd. in Arlington, inside the Invictus Foundation Karate Studio. The old home at 2410 W Abram, Suite 112, in The Shoppes at Brownstone Village still shows up on some listings, so do not drive there by habit. Ring (214) 558-0996 to confirm where your class meets.

Where will The Pilates Effect settle permanently?

The Roosevelt Plaza at 2906 W Pioneer Pkwy, Dalworthington Gardens. No moving date is published yet.

Can I still take a reformer class during the temporary move?

Ask first. Classes at the Bowen Road space use the stability chair, props, toning balls and a vibration plate, so confirm a reformer class is on before buying a reformer pack.

Is a Pilates Effect drop-in $35 or $40?

Two lists circulate. The one dated November 2025 has a Reformer Group drop-in at $40 and packs of 5, 10, 20 and 30 at $170, $300, $575 and $750. An older version starts at $35 with a 5-pack at $150. Go by the November prices, then confirm them on Mindbody.

Is a monthly plan better value than a class pack in Arlington?

Yes, from two classes a week. The 8 class plan at $180 and the 12 class plan at $230 work out at $22.50 and $19.66 a class, under the $25 you pay on a 30-class pack. Extras on those plans cost $15 and $12.50.

What else runs at The Pilates Effect besides group reformer?

Private one-on-one sessions, Duets, Trios, Mat Pilates and Vibration Plate Pilates, plus Yoga, including a Sunrise Gentle Yoga slow flow. The usual kit is STOTT PILATES reformers, Towers and the Stability Chair.

Does The Pilates Effect teach clinical Pilates?

Its website describes clinical Pilates. Ask who leads those sessions and what clinical license they hold, since the label only counts when a licensed clinician runs it.

What hours does the Arlington studio keep?

Posted hours are 7am to 7pm on weekdays and 7am to 4pm on Saturday, with Sunday closed. The move may have shifted that, so check Mindbody or call (214) 558-0996 before counting on an early slot.
