About The Fit In: Beats & Barres
The Fit In teaches mat, reformer and chair Pilates in Bedford-Stuyvesant, with private, semi private and virtual sessions alongside group classes. Its stated purpose is access: the studio runs a 501(c)3 collective providing free and low cost wellness to people usually left out of it. Practical rules matter here, a five minute lateness cut off and twelve hours' notice to cancel, both so a spot can go to someone on the waitlist. An intro offer costs $30.
- Beginner friendly, all levels welcome
- Private and one to one sessions available
- Semi private sessions for two to four people

View all FAQsWhy do different single class prices show up?
Three rates circulate. The $15 single class rate on the site matches the outdoor and virtual price, while $25 covers a mat based class and $30 an equipment based one. Check which one your booking screen shows.
What is the Rookie Offer?
New clients get 2 classes for $30, which is what a single equipment based class costs alone, so take it before buying anything else at the Malcolm X Blvd studio.
What happens if I cancel late?
You lose the class and pay $8 for a late cancel or $10 for a no show. The window is strict at 12 hours, so decide the night before.
How does the waitlist work here?
Join it when a class is full and you get moved in automatically if a spot frees up more than 12 hours before the start.
Which class pack actually saves money?
Work backwards from how often you will show up. The 5 pack of equipment classes at $140 lands at $28 each, barely under the $30 door rate, while the universal packs at $250 and $460 come down to $25 and $23. The 30 day challenge packs go lowest at $18 and $16 a class, but they only pay off if you can really train that hard for a month.
What is the InBody 570 for?
It is an analysis tool the studio keeps for progress tracking, so you can measure change across a run of Strong or Pilates Reformed classes rather than guessing.
Which class should a first timer book?
PILATES REFORMED: FUNDAMENTALS or STRONG FUNDAMENTALS. Both are the beginner friendly entry points, and Strong uses kettlebells and TRX rather than the reformer.
Is yoga on the schedule too?
Yes. Vinyasa, power, hot, restorative and yin yoga all run alongside the Brooklyn Pilates classes.
