View all FAQsIs Spark a Pilates studio or a Yoga studio?
Two different pictures of Spark circulate. The website presents Spark Yoga in San Luis Obispo, running Hot Yoga, Barre, Sculpt, HIIT and Indoor Cycling across three locations. Search results describe Spark Pilates, built on Joseph Pilates' Contrology Method with classical apparatus. Both can be true under one roof, but phone (805) 439-1848 first so you reach the right schedule.
Why does the Mat class show two prices?
The 50-minute Mat class carries two prices, $25 and $35, split between virtual and in-studio sessions. Ask which applies before you book.
Are the private lesson packages worth buying?
Only if you will really use them. 5 private lessons run $620, or $124 a session, and the 20 pack at $2100 drops to $105. Everything expires 4 months from the date of purchase or first booking, and it is final sale.
What do new clients pay at Spark Pilates?
New clients get 2 private lessons at $113 per session, or 5 private lessons at $105 per session. Dervola also runs a free studio tour.
When does registration open for a class?
Registration opens at midnight one week before the class start time, so good places go quickly. Two booking systems are named, Momence and Marianatek, so ask which one Spark uses now.
What happens if I cancel a 6am class late?
It turns on the start time. Before 9am the window is 10 hours, and from 9am onward it is 3 hours. Late cancels cost $6 and no-shows $12. Private sessions want 24 hours notice, and semi-private lessons want 48 hours.
Why is Saturday so much shorter than the rest of the week?
Saturday runs 7:30am to 12pm, against 6am to 8pm on weekdays. Sunday opens later, at 8am.
What apparatus does The System class use?
All of it, which is the point of the class. Universal and Archival Reformers, Cadillac towers with classical mats, Wunda, Electric and Baby Chairs, Ladder and Spine Corrector Barrels, plus smaller kit like Magic Circles and the Foot Corrector. Gratz, Pilates Designs and Empower Pilates handcrafted the apparatus, which matters if you trained classically elsewhere.
