About PALOGA studio
Everything at PALOGA happens on the mat. The studio at 1161 Bedford Ave in Brooklyn runs four formats and labels each one by intensity, so the decision at booking is how hard you want to work rather than which machine you can operate. There is no reformer here and nothing to learn how to set up.
The class the studio is named after is the hard one, rated Challenging and full body: mat Pilates strength, yoga-based flow and breath work inside a single session. Mat Pilates on its own is rated Moderate and Strengthening, and it fills most of the week. Yoga is Moderate and Mindful. Yin and Sound is the slow end, with poses held three to five minutes on props and sound played over them. Both Yoga and Yin and Sound state that no prior experience is needed, which is the answer to the question most people arrive with.
Jessanya founded PALOGA in 2020, after living in a small eco-community in Panama, and the studio still runs the things that came with that: workshops, teacher trainings and retreats, including one in Sayulita, Mexico.
Prices are the gap. PALOGA does not publish a drop in rate or a membership rate on its own site, so this profile shows none, and we would rather show nothing than a number nobody checked. Classes are booked at paloga.org/schedule. Google rates the studio 4.9 from 35 reviews.

View all FAQsWhich subway or bus lands closest to PALOGA?
The B26 at Putnam Ave and Bedford Ave is a 1 minute walk, which is as close as transit gets. The A and C at Nostrand Ave are a 5 minute walk, the B48 at Franklin Ave and Madison St is a 4 minute walk, and the G at Bedford-Nostrand Ave is an 8 minute walk, so the train is fine but the bus is closer.
What is a PALOGA class as opposed to the mat Pilates class?
PALOGA is the studio's own format, mixing Pilates based strength, yoga based flow and intentional breath. Mat Pilates is narrower, working core stability, alignment and full body integration through precise movement. Yoga and Yin and Sound fill the rest.
Is the room heated?
No. PALOGA keeps a grounded, comfortable temperature and none of the classes are heated.
Do I really have to hand over my phone?
Yes. It runs as a phone and smartwatch free space, devices at the front desk, and with a staff member always present and the door locked, nothing sits out unattended.
What are the timing rules for cancelling or arriving late?
Cancel at least 12 hours ahead or a $20 late cancellation fee lands. On the day, late entry stops after a 2 minute grace period, and the door is usually locked once class is running, so there is no quiet slide in at the back.
Is there a mat rental fee?
$3 per class if you turn up without one. Mats come included with class packs and memberships, and a first visit at PALOGA gets the rental free.
Are class prices published anywhere?
Not really. The only figure circulating is the Wellhub Gold Plan at $214.99/month, which covers PALOGA, and no phone number is published, so paloga.org/schedule is where a rate would appear.
Is PALOGA a reasonable place to start from scratch?
Yes. Classes are built to be accessible and teachers offer modifications for different levels. PALOGA is woman-owned and LGBTQ-friendly, and its 4.9 average comes from 35 reviews.
