View all FAQsDoes Internal Fire Pilates teach classical or contemporary work?
Classical, mainly. The method as Joseph Pilates built it, taught on traditional Gratz and Pilates Designs apparatus. Contemporary work appears on the site too, so ask before booking.
What is the cheapest way to start at Internal Fire Pilates?
The 3 Intro Group Classes package at $135 is the lowest entry, each one a 50 min small group. A private start costs $175 for the 75-minute Intro Discovery Lesson.
Why is there such a spread on private lesson prices?
Teacher level sets it. A private with an Apprentice is $80, with an Expert $145, and with a Master $160, and duets follow the same ladder at $55, $85 and $100 per student. If you are learning the apparatus from scratch, the Apprentice rate buys more hours for the same money, which matters more early on than the name on the schedule at Internal Fire Pilates.
Can I take a class from home?
Yes. Livestream classes are $22, with a Pay What You Can range of $15-$45.
Is the $392 membership better value than paying per class?
Only if you use it. That rate covers 2 classes per week, billed every 4 weeks, and falls to $376 on a 6-month commitment at Internal Fire Pilates.
How early does Internal Fire Pilates open on a Tuesday?
6am on Tuesday and Friday. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday open at 7am, and every weekday runs to 7pm. Saturday is 8am to 12pm, Sunday 8am to 1pm.
Where do people leave the car on 4th Street?
Metered street parking fills the blocks around 4th Street, and a parking garage on C Street is a short walk away. The studio is on the second floor.
Is there anything beyond the reformer here?
Trapeze Table (Cadillac), Wunda Chair, Barrels, Tower and Mat, plus accessory tools. The apparatus is Gratz and Pilates Designs throughout.
