Frequently Asked Questions

View all FAQs
Is the $21 first class open to anyone?

The $21 rate is for new clients, so you get it once. Use it to see the white reformer machines and the teaching before committing, because everything else at Hourglass Pilates is a final sale with no refunds or transfers.

What does a one to one session cost in Tampa?

$79 for a private 1:1, $109 for a private class for 2, and $350 for a private party. The step from $79 to $109 is small enough that bringing somebody with you is the better buy.

Does a membership tie me in?

Yes. Memberships are a recurring charge with a 6 month commitment, and the tiers on offer are 4 Class/Month, 8 Class/Month and 10 Class/Month. Class packs are a one time purchase instead, though they expire after 6 months. All sales are final across packs, memberships and events, with no refunds, transfers or credits for classes you never used, so pick the tier you will actually clear.

Which hours are right, 6am to 7pm or 9am to 5pm?

Two sets circulate for Hourglass Pilates: 6am to 7pm every day, and 9am to 5pm every day. Check the schedule page or phone (813) 220-9615 before you plan an early one, because the difference decides whether a 6am booking exists at all.

Are grip socks compulsory?

Yes, for every Pilates class, and they are sold at the front desk if you forget.

Is there anywhere to shower or fill a water bottle?

The sources conflict. Changing areas and restrooms are confirmed, showers are claimed in one place and denied in another, and there is no refill station at present, although bottled water is sold. Bring your own bottle, and phone (813) 220-9615 first if the shower is the deciding factor.

What happens if I arrive late?

Doors close 5 minutes after a class starts, so aim to be there at least 10 minutes early. Cancelling inside 24 hours costs you the class credit, and that credit does not come back.

Is Hourglass only Pilates?

No. Alongside small group and private reformer work and mat Pilates, the timetable carries yoga flows, hot yoga and vinyasa, plus sound baths and special events. Mats and props are provided for the yoga classes, so those ask less of you than the reformer ones.
