A gym with a serious Pilates programme inside it, running since 1984. The Studio Reformer membership at $299 a month covers six small group reformer sessions, unlimited Mind plus Body classes at over thirty a week, and full access to the gym floor, cardio and weights. That is a different proposition from a boutique studio.
What is the cheapest way to try it?
A two week trial membership for $40, covering two reformer sessions, all Mind plus Body classes, full gym access, lockers, sauna and free childcare.
What are the other memberships?
Studio Mind plus Body at $150 a month covers unlimited yoga and Pilates classes plus livestream and on demand video. All-Access at $175 adds the cycle and Studio X classes and full gym access.
How small are the reformer groups?
Four at most, booked through the FI PLUS app or the website schedule. Private instruction is arranged by phone or at the front desk rather than online.
What Pilates classes run?
Pilates Mat at 55 minutes, Pilates Xpress at 45, Hot Pilates in an infrared heated room, Circuit Pilates across the reformer, tower, chair and arc barrel, and a Jump Board Express cardio class.
When can I reserve?
Twenty four hours before the class, through the app. Cancel free up to six hours ahead, and inside that a no show costs $10.
Is parking difficult in Babylon Village?
The studio has the largest private lot in the village, though a permit is required for it. Free and metered public parking sits nearby.
Can non members take classes?
Yes, for mat class packages and for private and semi private instruction, though the reformer groups sit inside the membership tiers.
