Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsHow late can I book a class?
Two hours before it starts, which is a firmer cutoff than most studios. There is no walking in on the day, and everything runs through the booking platform including the waiver.
What does the intro offer include?
It is free, and first timers on it also get a free pair of grip socks at their first class. Socks are required for every class, so that removes the usual first visit expense.
What are the cancellation fees?
Free up to 8 hours ahead. Inside that a late cancel costs $20 and a no show costs $30, which is at the higher end for a studio this size and worth taking seriously given how firm the rest of the booking policy is. Between the two hour booking cutoff, the eight hour waitlist deadline and a $30 penalty for simply not turning up, this is a studio that expects you to plan the week rather than decide on the day.
What happens if a class is full?
You can join a waitlist through the booking platform, and the system moves you into an opening automatically, but only up to 8 hours before the class starts. After that point a late drop out will not reach you.
What happens if I am late?
More than five minutes and you may be turned away for safety reasons, forfeiting the booking. Given the $30 no show fee, that is worth taking seriously.
Who teaches?
Dawn, certified in floor and reformer Pilates through Breathe Education, running open level classes that mix classical technique with athletic pacing.
Is there an online option?
No. Everything runs in person at the Buenaventura Boulevard studio, and the studio says so plainly.
Can the work be adapted?
Yes, the studio offers customised instruction ranging from post rehabilitative support through to advanced athletic sessions.
