Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsWhat is the X-Former?
A megaformer style machine rather than a classical reformer. Classes run 45 minutes at a slow tempo under constant spring tension, which is why it is sold as high intensity and low impact at the same time.
What does it cost to try?
$19 for a first class. After that a drop in is $39, three classes are $99 and expire 60 days after purchase, and unlimited is $119 a month.
Is $119 a month good value?
Yes, if you go more than three times. Against a $39 drop in, the unlimited pays for itself quickly, and $119 is at the low end for unlimited megaformer work in Orange County.
How do I find the parking?
Coming down Commonwealth, turn onto Orchard Street and then right into the alley, which brings you to the lot behind the studio. Street parking exists but the alley is the reliable route, and it is not obvious from the front of the building.
How early should I arrive for a first class?
15 minutes. The instructor sets your machine, shows you the grip points and dials in your spring tension before the class starts rather than during it.
How late can I drop a booking?
Twelve hours before the class. Inside that window the studio charges a $15 late cancellation fee.
Should I read anything into the rating?
Doll House holds 4.7 from 12 reviews, which is a very small sample. Treat it as an early signal rather than a verdict.
What should I have on?
Form fitting clothes and grip socks, which are required and sold at the studio.
