View all FAQsIs Pilates cheaper in San Antonio than the national numbers suggest?
It looks that way here. Group classes in San Antonio are reported between $15 and $45, and unlimited memberships between $125 and $350 a month, against a national chain band of $189 to $397 for unlimited. Ask the Dominion studio directly to see where it falls.
Where is the studio?
21803 IH-10 West, Suite 104, inside the Dominion Crossing Shopping Center, which is the landmark to aim for rather than the highway number.
Why does Friday finish so early?
Friday closes at 1pm, against 8pm Monday through Thursday. Saturday runs 8am to 2pm and Sunday 8am to 1pm, so the end of the week is thin if evenings are your only option.
What is the method actually called?
The studio describes it as a modernised contrology method, which is Joseph Pilates' original work rebuilt for a group setting. In practice that means reformer led classes with contemporary sequencing.
What equipment will I meet?
Reformer first, then Springboard, EXO Chair, Bosu, TRX, barre, mats, rollers and the Magic Circle. The studio uses Balanced Body equipment throughout.
Which formats are on the timetable?
Reformer Flow, Cardio Sculpt, Control, Suspend, Center plus Balance, F.I.T. and Evolution, spread over four levels.
How do I get started?
Book the free 30 minute introductory class on the Dominion page, then arrive 15 minutes early to finish the paperwork. Grip socks are compulsory and sold on site.
