Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsIs this a teacher training academy?
Primarily, yes. BASI is a global Pilates education network and this is one of its academies, running year round teacher training and ongoing instructor education alongside the public classes. If you want to qualify rather than just practise, that changes what this studio is for.
Does the apprentice programme pay?
It can. The studio offers practical experience and may cover up to 50% of tuition if the apprentice works at the studio after certifying. Very few training centres offset the cost that way.
Is the first session free?
Yes, a free private intro session, which is the right way to start given the studio leans toward one to one work.
What do group classes cost?
$45 for a single apparatus class, or $100 a month for four, $160 for eight and $180 for twelve.
Why do private prices differ?
A standard private is $95 and a session with a BASI Faculty instructor is $120. Packs bring the standard rate down to $825 for ten or $1540 for twenty, and a semi private for two to five people is $75 each.
Who is the studio for?
It works with all ages and fitness levels, naming post rehabilitation clients, dancers, pregnant women, athletes and people with body imbalances. Those are areas of focus rather than clinical care.
Is it open at the weekend?
No. Saturday and Sunday are both closed, with weekday hours running from 7am or 7:30am to between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.
How do I get there?
3907 Park Drive, Suite 105, with plenty of parking. There is no public transport to the academy, so plan on driving or a ride share.
