There are two intro offers. The Invitation is $99 for three classes to use within two weeks, and the Test Drive is $199 for 21 classes in 21 days. Both include mat and towel rental. If you're local, they check your ID at the first class for the Test Drive. A single drop-in is $40.
Do I need to bring my own mat and towel, or are they provided?
If you book directly through Aura, mat and towel rental are always free. If you book through a third party, mat rental is $5 and towel rental is $3 or $4 depending on the source. You can bring your own if you prefer. Props like weights, magic circles, blocks, and bands are provided for all classes.
I've never done Pilates. Do I need special socks, and can I buy them there?
Yes, mat Pilates and sculpt classes require grip socks, including yoga-lates and yoga sculpt. You can bring your own or buy a pair at the front desk. Traditional yoga classes don't require socks.
What are the membership options and prices?
Memberships start at $140 a month. There are three tiers: Root for 4 classes a month at $140, Rise for 8 classes a month at $220, and Ritual for unlimited classes with one guest pass a month at $269 for 30 days. All memberships have a 3-month commitment and include mat and towel rental.
What's the cancellation policy if I can't make a class?
If you cancel less than 12 hours before class, you lose your class credit if you're a drop-in or class pack holder. Unlimited members are charged a $35 late cancellation fee. Cancel at least 12 hours in advance to keep your credit.
Is there parking, and how do I get into the building?
There's metered street parking on West 72nd Street. The studio is at 239 W 72nd St, 2nd Floor, between Broadway and West End. At the street door, press the buzzer marked YOGA and the front desk will let you in. It's directly across from the 72nd Street 1, 2, 3 subway station.
