View all FAQsHow do I book a class at Art of Pilates LI?
You book through their online system or the Art of Pilates app. You will need an account first, then you can reserve a spot in any class.
What does a single class cost, and is there a cheaper way to start?
A single class is $45. But new clients are required to take a $31 orientation class first, which is a 50-minute full-body intro to the reformer. That is the cheaper way to start, and it counts as your first workout.
Do I need to bring my own mat or socks?
You do not need a mat for reformer classes, but grip socks are required for all in-studio sessions. They sell them at the studio if you do not have a pair.
What are the membership options and how do they compare to class packs?
Monthly memberships start at $136 for 4 classes, $256 for 8 classes, and $310 for unlimited. If you prefer class packs, 5 classes are $210, 10 are $390, and 20 are $660. There are also afternoon-only memberships for $105 (4 classes) or $195 (8 classes) if you can only make later sessions.
What happens if I need to cancel a class?
All purchases are final and not transferable, so read the terms carefully. The site mentions a cancellation window, but the exact hours are not published. If you are late by more than 5 minutes, your spot may be given away.
Is the reformer class really small group, and how many people are in a class?
Yes, each studio has only 9 to 10 reformers, so classes are kept small. That means the instructor can see everyone and correct your form in real time.
Do I need experience to take a reformer class?
No, but you must take a $31 orientation class first if you are new. It teaches you how to use the reformer, springs, and straps. After that, you move into Level 1 classes.
