The Studio Port Washington is at 275 Main Street and heats most of its room with infrared panels. The timetable marks each class as warm or hot, and four formats run in both temperatures: Flow, Sculpt, Pilates and Barre each have a hot version and a warm one. Dance cardio, a gentle yoga class that uses essential oils, and a yin and yang class pairing vinyasa with long holds are the ones that run only one way. The lateness policy is the part to read twice. There is no grace period and the front door locks exactly at the start time. A class listed at 9:30 starts at 9:30, and arriving on the dot means not taking it. The studio asks people to come 10 to 15 minutes early, partly because parking on Main Street is metered and wants quarters or the Passport app, with a municipal lot at Shore Road and Central Drive as the fallback. Prices are published in full, which is rarer than it should be. A single class is $34, a 5 pack is $165 and a 10 pack is $300, all expiring after 6 months. Unlimited runs $250 a month, or $65 if you only want a week of it. New students can buy a single class for $25, a week for $50, or a first month for $150. Cancellation is a 12 hour window. Inside it, a membership is charged $25 and a pack simply loses the class. Booking is through MindBody, and the waiver has to be signed before you arrive.
